About Singtel Group Future Makers
Singtel Group Future Makers is Singtel’s regional social innovation accelerator and capacity building programme. Since its inception in 2016, the programme has invested S$5 million and supported 72 local and regional social impact start-ups.
Now in its 5th year, many of the supported start-ups have reached a level of maturity where they are actively creating impact in their local markets, and have expanded their product and service offerings, secured external funding and even scaled regionally through our support.
We therefore, we believe that there is potential for the start-ups to take a step further by working closer with our business units, regional associates and partners to create shared value opportunities that can generate social impact and commercial returns.
Singtel Group Future Makers is organised by Singtel and supported by AIS, Airtel, Globe, Optus and Telkomsel.
Singtel Group Future Makers 2021 Themes and Start-ups
In 2021, the programme seeks to foster Shared Value opportunities with regional partners to create impactful social and business solutions for people and the markets that Singtel Group operate in: Australia, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.
We identified the following themes and start-ups with solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that can address business and social issues.
Key Programme Highlights
Drawing from the respective local accelerator and social innovation programmes in each region we operate, Singtel Group has identified and curated 20 start-ups to virtually showcase their solutions in the areas of Health and Well-being and Economic Growth.
As part of the programme, we will enlist Singtel Group colleagues and partners to provide dedicated mentoring and 1-on-1 business coaching to the start-ups for them to learn from best practices and fine-tune their business strategies and value proposition to create greater impact.
The programme will end with a Shared Value Pitch Day on 15 November when the top start-ups from each region will get to pitch for a cash pool of S$150,000 to further their regional expansion and partnership proposal with the Singtel Group of companies. The pitch day will be attended by Singtel Group stakeholders, community partners and impact investors.
